Computer Science in the STEAM Lab! 

K-5 students learn computer programming through the Code.org coding curriculum as well as other programming platforms such as Scratch, BBC Microbit, and Wonder Workshop.  

S.R.M. STEAM Lab

Students in the SRM STEAM LAB dive into coding, circuitry, animation, 3D printing, robotics, ad more! The SRM STEAM Lab is where students learn digital citizenship, presentation tools, digital storytelling, computer science, and game design through web-based and iPad apps that tie into curricular areas. "Using STEAM education results in students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!"

Robotics in the steam lab

Kinder through second grade are learning how to code and program robots such as Ozobots, Bee Bots, and Dash.

3rd through 5th grade are learning how to code and program robots such as Edison, Ollie, and Sphero. 

When students can code and visually see their robots performing the task in a hands-on manner makes computer science so exciting for our students!
